We Launch the Second Edition of “Cuadernos ICSI” on Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue in Latin America

21 November, 2025 | News

We are pleased to present the second edition of Cuadernos ICSI, with the publication of the document “Guide to Multi-Stakeholder Dialogue: Step-by-Step Formulation and Implementation,” a practical tool aimed at designing, facilitating, and strengthening dialogue processes that contribute to more inclusive and sustainable territorial management.

This new publication compiles and systematizes lessons learned and methodologies developed by Insuco in various territories in Latin America and the Caribbean, especially from the multi-stakeholder dialogue process of Los Encuentros in Ecuador, an experience that will celebrate ten years of promoting spaces for coordination among territorial actors next January.

The guide is the result of joint work between ICSI and Insuco’s Regional Office for Ecuador, Paraguay, and Brazil, and seeks to inspire and accompany the creation of new spaces for dialogue between communities, companies, and institutions, promoting participatory processes that contribute to the sustainability of territories.

The document proposes a methodological roadmap organized into five key steps, which include practical tools and recommendations for the design and implementation of effective dialogue processes:

  • Preparation, to establish the necessary foundations for a solid process.
  • Territorial analysis, using a participatory approach based on rigorous information and strategies adapted to each context.
  • Design of the dialogue, where the strategic and operational bases of the process are defined.
  • Implementation, which turns dialogue into collaborative action and joint construction of solutions.
  • Monitoring and evaluation, to ensure the evolution and relevance of the process over time.

In addition, the publication presents experiences of multi-stakeholder dialogue implemented in different territories in Latin America and the Caribbean, offering concrete references for replicating and adapting these processes in new contexts.

With this new edition, ICSI reaffirms its commitment to generating and disseminating tools that contribute to strengthening territorial governance and promoting development processes based on participation and collaboration among actors.
